Data Architect Auburn Hills, MI (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week) 6 Months Position Description: The Senior Enterprise Data Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions within Business Intelligence and Data Management software and hardware to meet business requests. The ideal candidate should be able to create data solutions leveraging Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Warehouse (DW) technologies.
This role will work under the direct leadership of the Senior Manager for Enterprise Data Architecture. Knowledge of industry-standard Business Intelligence software and Data Integration Management technologies is required.

- Strong business and technical verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience creating metrics and dashboard analytics.
- Strong working knowledge of different analysis tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated analytical ability and creativity in developing and implementing solutions for complex problems on medium-sized projects.
- Strong SQL skills.
Functions Performed - This individual may be asked to solely perform these functions or may choose to delegate some of these functions to other members of their team, per agreement with the Senior Manager for Enterprise Data Architecture. Ultimately, responsibility for ensuring that the functions are performed rests with this position.
General Functions / Responsibilities: - Architect and design business intelligence solutions for accessing and analyzing data and metadata.
- Experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data Mart, and Operational Data Store (ODS) architectures.
- Expertise in data modeling, including star, snowflake, and other dimensional modeling techniques.
- Experience architecting and developing database solutions using both OLAP and OLTP technologies.
- Extensive experience in architecture, data modeling, design, development, data migration, and data integration throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate in and/or lead design sessions, demonstrations, prototype sessions, testing, and training workshops with business users and IT associates.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Support business projects by providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in Enterprise Data Management.
Technical Experience Business Intelligence and Data Management 7+ years of IT experience architecting solutions using Business Intelligence reporting and development tools such as: - SAP BusinessObjects
- QlikView
- SAS
- Oracle Hyperion Essbase
7+ years of experience with: - Application Architecture
- Data Warehousing
- Master Data Management (IBM Infosphere or Informatica MDM)
- Experience with data modelling.
Top 3-5 Required Skills (Rank and Prioritize Specific Tools/Technologies Required) - 7+ years of IT experience architecting solutions using Business Intelligence reporting and development tools such as: SAP BusinessObjects QlikView SAS Oracle Hyperion Essbase
- 7+ years of experience with: Application Architecture Data Warehousing Master Data Management (IBM InfoSphere or Informatica MDM)
- Experience with data modeling.
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
